Senior Occupational Therapist – Medicolegal Specialist
Nancy graduated from the University of Queensland in 1984, and has been practicing for 34 years. She is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in assessment of function, work capacity and future needs.
Nancy began her working career in paediatrics before transitioning into adult rehabilitation. In 1988 she established a private practice in occupational rehabilitation – consulting to Comcare, WorkCover Queensland, individuals and private organisations. She developed skills in assessment of injury, workplace assessment, design of return to work programs, home assessment and injury management. Her clinical expertise, combined with her analytical abilities mean that she is well-placed to comment on future work capacity, economic loss, equipment prescription and past and future care needs.
Nancy has completed thousands of medico legal assessments and reports over the last 10 years and is an experienced expert witness. She has built a solid reputation for assessing complex and catastrophically injured cases.
Nancy has developed expertise in respiratory diseases including coal miners pneumoconiosis having visited Northwestern Hospital in Chicago with a group of Australian miners who were assessed by Professor Bob Cohen and his team.

Nancy is a Member of Occupational Therapy Australia and an Associate Member of the Medico-Legal Society of Queensland and the Law Society of Queensland. She is continually developing her knowledge and skills in order to adopt best practice procedures in medicolegal reporting. Her professional opinion is highly sought after and well respected by the medical and legal fraternities.
