Who we are

OT MedicoLegal (OTML) was established in 2014 by Nancy Stephenson – a highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in assessment of function, work capacity and future needs.

Nancy began her working career in paediatrics before transitioning into adult rehabilitation. In 1988 she established a private practice in occupational rehabilitation – consulting to Comcare, WorkCover Queensland, individuals and private organisations. She developed skills in assessment of injury, workplace assessment, design of return to work programs, home assessment and injury management.

Today, Nancy and the OTML team combine their clinical expertise with extensive analytical capabilities to assess and report on future work capacity, economic loss, equipment prescription and past and future care needs.

Nancy is a Member of Occupational Therapy Australia and an Associate Member of the Medico-Legal Society of Queensland and the Law Society of Queensland. We are continually developing our knowledge and skills in order to apply best practice procedures in medicolegal assessments and reporting. Our professional opinions are highly sought after and well respected by the medical and legal fraternities across Australia.
